Detoxifying my system

Query: "Hello there, I was advised to take MSM to detoxify my system. I take a lot of painkillers and anti-inflammatory tablets for pain due to a car accident. I was wondering if u could give me some information on it please. Thank you.

Reply: Sorry. I cannot provide advice on your specific medication - this is a very specialised area and I leave it to those suitably qualified and/or knowledgeable.

There are many natural ways of detoxifying your system, though. As long as they do not interfere with whatever medical regimen you are using you might consider the following:

1. For a few weeks/months cut out manufactured foods. Eat a very varied diet consisting mainly of complex carbohydrates, protein (with only minimal animal flesh), and fresh fruit and vegetable.

2. Drink a litre or more of pure water daily.

3. Cut out all less-than-useful substances: alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, sugar, etc. - again for at least a few weeks.

4. Fresh air and exercise combined with lots of good breathing practise. This process does not need to be strenuous and, in any case is likely to be dependent on how you are affected by the car accident. This will help and stimulate one of your body's most important detoxifying systems - the lymphatic system.

NLP is used to develop the ideas and themes on this site. I have been using it for over two decades to help me understand how I and other people tick and in my work as a consultant and trainer - and it continually impresses me.
